Is this true about Scratch-X?

ScratchX is mild (it has to be because of its intented market) and requires a lot of work to get results by hand. Its not a bad product for hand use, but by machine, I would recommend something more abbrasive.
 
Yeah, it's ok for an OTC polish intended for hand use. I used it with good success on my 97 S10 over a year ago before I moved to machine polishing. It removes defects but takes a HUGE amount of work.
 
Its a PAINT cleaner there are no polishing oils in it. I have worked with it by hand and got amazing results and it works just like it says. If you use it just get a pure polish to apply after it and a good sealant. :)
