Is this the biggest towel I can get ---- DIY Fender Covers

Not sure who wrenches here...but the regular fender not only scratches but they are cheap and break often...

I have laid a WW towel ontop and then a heavy bath rug ontop.

I'm convinced to have the wifey sew me up some towels.

So the plan to to get the largest MF I could find which appears to be this

Cobra Supreme 530 Extra Large Microfiber Towel, large microfiber detailing towe, drying towel, micro fiber towels

Sew a couple of sealed magnets on it.

Layer the topside with a matching size towel from BBB, Walmart, etc

Maybe I'm overthining this and should just buy me 2 premade Griots covers

The magnets are a good idea, the towel will just slip right off without them. Use rare earth magnets too. The bigger the better because they're stronger and will work better through the thickness of the 530g/m2 towel. it's going to be very soft and very thick so you'll need the extra magnetic strength of the rare earth ones.

I use a large plush MF towel as a fender cover when I work on my car. I got it from Walmart, it's a little smaller then a bath towel. Works fine, and is soft enough that it wont scratch the paint. Falling off is a problem it usually just slides down. I've resorted to simply duct taping it to the inside of the engine compartment. The magnet idea sounds interesting.
