Is this possible (discussion from another site)

I am trying to tell some people at another car site that it is physically impossible to maintain a 100% immaculate swirl free finish all year long, with regular washing, and only periodic (few times a year) polishing/waxing on a daily driver.

I have like 3 people claiming "i polish and wax my car 3 times a year with ZAINO, and you can look under a florescent lamp that there are ZERO swirls"

Pure ignorance. Zaino users who really know about detailing would never claim that. I wouldn't bother wasting my time with people who think that :lmao

i think it is impossible to achieve pure swirlessness unless your car is in a immaculate sealed vaccum to prevent dust from settling on the car. hearing that the car is a daily driver, of course theres gonna be dust that settles on the car. theres dust everywhere, we breathe in tiny dust particles that are in the air. the fact of the matter is that these tiny dust particles settle on your car, and result in swirling of some type....

it would probably make more sense to say "i see very few swirls", but its stupid to say that theres absolutely no swirls. i say just leave these people alone and let them have what they want, they are in denial and wont give you a thing, even though you are correct

You can lead a Horse to water but you can't make him drink.

They’re not worth your time. This is a profession that you have to continue to learn. On the other hand if you try it you might learn from them.
From my experience it sounds like a bunch of BS.

2 people come to mind that have daily drivers with probably nearly ZERO swirls... Accumulator and Bill D....They have extreme washing techniques and very hard Audi clearcoats.

Also, the Mercedes Cerami-Clear is very very tough too...But face it, you will always have that 1 screw up.

You may also have a symantics issue. I have some light scratches (and some heavy ones) on my cars but nothing I would call swirls.

Yep, close to zero bona fide swirls but battling occasional micromarring visible only under those 1000 watt halogens. Got to be prepared for anything. That's why I have a PC, Cyclo and rotary and a slew of polishes.

From the sounds of it ... In order to maintain a swirl free shine for that lenght of time. You would need to be an impecable detailer who miticoulsy maintians their car!

Oh yes, no doubt. I have my ritual down so much it's as close as to automatic and natural as possible :D
