That looks good, although you could probably stop after the sealant.

And people will tell you that the water blade isn't good, but I've used one for years and never had problems with it. Of course, I find it more effective when you are whisking off a lot of water at once (don't do the bare ended hose rinse off method) since it builds up a nice barrier of liquid that catches anything in its path.

Then again I'm not super OCD or anal-retentive about having a show car finish on a daily driver.

Let me cast my vote for not using the water blade. I used them for three years without any problems. I was always careful but some how I managed to put a very nice scratch on my hood with the blade. I too had been warned but I thought, nay it ain't goin to happen to me.

just used bubble bath for the first time today, very pleased with it, i had some dg that i compared it too, much thicker foaming action in the bb and when diluted not a bad smell to have around.

Well, heh heh, you can work on that :D (sorry, J/K, couldn't resist)

Hanz- Yeah, you have a lot of different LSPs on your proposed list; I too would scale that back. FMJ, Zaino, the PB's stuff....you don't really need to use a bunch of different, but very (functionally) similar products to get a good look.

I'd be more focused on sciencing out the wash technique so you don't end up marring the paint (much harder than it sounds). While it's not as, uhm, intriguing as the polishing/sealing/waxing, it's the thing you do most often and the thing that most often leads to problems.

Oh, and I too would skip the CWB. I too used one for years on the beaters, but finally decided that the very rare marring from it (and yeah, it'll eventually happen no matter what) just isn't worth it. There are better, if less convenient and more expensive, means of getting the majority of the water off. Remember that paint and time (polishing out scratches takes a lot of time) are non-renewable resources, unlike most other things in detailing (including money).

Edison_Chen- It's all sorta relative in the "good/better/best, but who's to say?" sense. You don't really *need* a sealant under your wax; you don't really *need* a wax over your sealant. But many people like layering their LSPs and some folks just *insist* on the presumably better protection they get from a sealant same way some folks just *insist* on the presumably better apprearance they get from a wax over their sealant.

Yeah. You could use the blade 100 times without issue. It just takes one time when it causes damage to make it not worth it.

My personal thoughts are skip the PBs EX if its a light color car. I never had much luck with it. I also did not care for the Sonus products that I used. If you want really great MFs that are affordable and last and last check these out

You'll easily load up your two, maybe even three or four, MF towels during the polish process and a couple more when wiping off the sealant. If you go with the personal option to wax over the sealant then you'll need a couple more.

Add in window cleaning, interior cleaning........yep, you need more.

Heh heh, I'm a bad influence :chuckle: but at least I'm doing my bit to stimulate the economy.
