Is this kit really Leather Master?

Hi. New member here, with a question. I just bought this kit below, and it says Leather Master on the box. However the items inside simply says "Leather Care Interior Kit" with no logo of LM anywhere. In addition, I've seen LM's other websites and they offer "strong cleaner" and "soft cleaner". This kit has no such thing, it just says "leather cleaner" on the bottles. There are also 2 bottles of protection cream, one is starter and the other is not. I haven't seen LM's protection creams differentiated on other websites. So this has got me wondering.

The kit comes with 2 bottles of cleaner, 1 starter protection cream, 1 protection cream, 1 Ink Away, 1 brush, 2 sponges and 2 applicator cloths.

Amazon.com: LeatherMaster Premium Leather Kit

Looks right to me. They probably just put the kit together themselves (Detailers Paradise) and they are a reputable vendor. Just dont know what cleaner you will get but it shouldnt matter. It looks like the automotive one though that doesnt differentiate between strong and soft. And the two protection creams are probably like that for different sizes.

That is the Leather Master's logo on the box. At that price, I would expect it to be the real deal. LM rocks but it isn't cheap.

Thanks for the welcome, and replies (and assurances)!! I used the cleaner and the starter protection cream earlier. Another thing that mildly surprised me is that cleaner in this kit is actually a pump bottle and the product comes out already foamy. This is different from the videos on LM that I've seen where the guy pours the liquid on a foam applicator and massages product into the foam to produce a foamy consistency.

Well anyway, LM or not, this product does work. I applied it on my Audi's leather (roughly 8 months old). It's got the sports suspension seats with leg side bolsters that have started to become shiny from frequent brushes with the thigh as the driver goes in and out. After a round of cleaner and protection, the leather is restored to the way I remembered it when delivered to me, i.e. a nice matte sheen. (The Audi was a special order so it was fresh off the factory when I got it.) The cleaner also removed a lot of gunk especially from the driver's seat.

I understand this is a kit that may have been put together by the dealer, but I'm still curious why it seems like I can't find these particular bottles pictured anywhere else where Leather Masters is sold (and why they don't have the LM logo on them).

I would guess these are just bottles for the automotive marketers... Couldnt find on the Leather Master's website but did find another vendor: Leather care products-International- MULTIMASTER UNITERS Group

The bottles of cleaner appear to be one of those that you received in your kit. Leather Masters probably sells the cleaner in different bottles for distributors who are in car care rather than furniture. And others just order the regular product to stock because it is the same. That's my guess anyway, or they haven't updated their website to show that particular product bottle. There's also a Rapid Cleaner at Leather Cleaners that looks like a similar bottle.

Thanks, B-NIS! I agree, I could not find this kit on the Leather Masters website. But you did a better research than I did because I did not come across that Multimaster site before. From that link, I see they do offer the same kit that I have (further down the page). I think you are right that Leather Masters package their cleaners differently for car care distributors. The manufacturer (Uniters) is the same one marked on the bottles I have.

So I'll just keep on using these products, but with more peace of mind now.

B-NIS has it correct. Claude (the US distributor of Leather Master) works with a lot of furniture companies and does a lot rebottling. I am assuming he is doing the same now that he is going after the auto business.

Thanks, Quality Leather. If Claude is after the car care business, then I agree as well. I guess this now begs the question, which type of cleaner is in my kit? The LM website adverts has both "strong" and "soft" cleaners but my kit has only the 2 bottles labeled simply cleaner. Its description of being "concentrated" seems to tend towards it being the "strong" type. It also recommend that users wear latex gloves when handling this product.

Your guess of it being the strong cleaner is probably correct and what I would guess, but to be sure it would be best to email them or the Uniters, or Detailers Paradise. I think there is a Leather Master rep that is on the board, but doesnt really go into the product much as it could be considered spamming. But maybe they will chime in if they see it. Otherwise best way to find out is to go to the source.

Bump!

I just received my Leatermaster kit from Phil....I bought the 250ml kit that contains Strong Cleaner, Protection and Vital.

Any basic tips (Other than following the directions on the bottles) you guys could suggest?
