Is there any way to correct this or cover it up some?

So I bought a 2008 Traiblazer SS and these cars had a horrible design in terms of the front tires kicking rocks up all over the rear down and rocker panel. With that said, I tried to buff the chips in hopes of lightening some of then but it obviously was only a temporary fix. Is there a dark wax or something that will help fill this mess in some?

Yep, Dr. Colorchip. They even have a video on fixing road rash. Or repaint.

Buffing (i.e., taking off paint) won't do much for the problem of "missing paint" and getting polish stuck in the abraded areas can make things even more obvious, so I wouldn't do that any more.

DrColorChips is pretty much foolproof, though the quality of the results are definitely in that "YMMV!" category. I do best with it by applying with a tiny artist's brush (as per conventional touchup paint) and then leveling it with their solvent after building up a few layers.
