Hi,

Is the pad that the Porter Cable 7424 comes with fine for just waxing a car that doesn't need any correction?

Thanks,

Eric

IIRC, the foam compostion may be a little too firm. put a microfiber bonnet over it and use it to remove lsp's or use it polish/clean your counter tops, etc...

Yeah, the pad that came with my PC didn't get anywhere *near* my paint...I threw it away so it wouldn't accidentally get into play. People who have used it generally complain that it causes all sorts of not-so-micro marring.

So MF bonnet is an acceptable way to buff?

*GOOD* MF bonnets are OK for buffing off LSP residue. You can eithe use the MF bonnet to get most of it off and then follow up by hand, or get most of it off by hand and then do the final buff with the bonnet. IME you usually need to do both no matter which way you do it.
