Is Scratch X indicated in this case

Hey everyone,

New to this site. I recently noticed this scuff/scratch on my bumper (pics below). I really don't know how it got there since I am always extremely careful with my car (08 Acura CSX). I'm not sure if paint was taken off or if paint was added on. I couldn't rub off any of the scuff by hand. There are no palpable indentations. I was told to try a product like Scratch X, however I am not familiar with this product and not sure if it is the right one to use in this situation. Any thoughts? Thanks!

It's hard to tell from the pic, but that doesn't look bad at all. I think almost any paint cleaner will improve that. I haven't used the latest version of Scratch-X, but if that's easily available, give it a try. Just make sure to use a soft, non-marring applicator or towel to apply it.

ScratchX would be an excellent potential solution for that.

A claybar would also probably help and as BigJim said; WD40 may even dissolve it from the surface.

Thanks everyone for your input! I removed the scuff with WD40. Once I sprayed it on and left it for a couple of minutes, it wiped off like it was melted chocolate. There were no remaining scratches/scuffs/dents.
