I have a water softner for my home but some people say dont use it for washing cars because of the salt I guess. Water softner use salt to regenerate but then theres a fresh water rinse to remove any left over salt in the resin tank.
 
I have a water softner at home that I use to wash my black axima. I had no problems with it so far. Actually my car comes out almost spot free everytime. I also noticed it enchances the soap's washing ability.

I also have a softener in my home. My setting are 4 lbs of salt, every 5 days. Your right about the flush. Mine must last about 40 minutes. I have an older Culligian, and when it goes, I'm going to get a new digitial readout model. More control to choose from.



As we have iron and maganese in our water, it sure helps save the scaling and plugging in the boiler and the plumbing fixtures.



I haven't seen any problem in washing my vehicle. I don't believe it strips my wax or leaves a film. The soft water sure does make for some great suds in the wash bucket, and saves me a little on soaps and shampoos.



I also have mine set to flush at 2:00 A.M. so I don't have a problem with washing my vehicle right after it flushes. If your really worried about washing your car through the softener, just run down and put it on bypass to do your washing, and then back on line for the house.

Salt is a lot more water soluable then hard metals that the softener removes. in a worse case scenario it may leave deposts but not as bad a calcium or magnesium. the removal of hard metals also helps out your soaps making them more effective saving you time and money. IMO, it does more good than bad.

IMO, I say no way in heck. :)

80-90% of your paints finish comes from machine polishing.

Properly polish your paint and use a good quality sealant like blackfire wet diamond.
 
I've seen that on Amazon. I think it's pretty funny. Honestly, if you really think about it, most if not all Zymol products are way overpriced. IMO, most of the more expensive "boutique" waxes overpriced too, but if enough people buy into the mystique and pay up, they'll keep making them. What was P.T. Barnum's famous saying again........?

I say go for it, definitely going to make a colossal difference in the look of your paint. It should totally outlast Opti-Coat in durability, out-slick Blackfire and its easier to apply than both of them right?

+1 unless somebody could prove to me that the carnauba could withstand the tropical temperature better than sealant...

No that's not worth it, but its big brother Solaris is. :D

50-60k for cool pyramid container, carnauba, silicone, oils and lifetime refill.. lol
 
I wonder if that detailer from Florida helped with the development? The guy with the awesome YouTube videos.....You know... developed by NASA :doh:
 
Hell, my first car didn't cost that much! I would have liked to told my dad, after getting my first car, a 1989 Grand Prix Coupe, "thanks for letting me get this sweet ride, now all I need is this $8400 wax to make it look its best"!!!

It would have been interesting to see his face!
 
Would love to see side by side comparisons with anything, and make that a double-blind comparison and see if anyone could tell the difference between that and even a Meg's. If you had a business license could you write that off as an expense?

I figured you all would get a kick out of this stuff, I first seen this couple years ago, had to do a double take on the price.

Although I have spoke with a couple ole timers, and they indeed are familiar with using your bare hand with Carnuba , I had to question the theory, and they all said , it spreads more evenely after your body temp warms up the wax. Who am I do argue with. Will I try it, heck no, I would think the oils alone from your skin would cause havoc with the mixture.

Oh well live and learn right!
