Is It OK To Lay My Wash Mitt On The Concrete Before I Wash My Car?

You can do the same but put it on a grit guard before hand. This way there will be no dirt getting onto the pad and the water will be able to freely rinse the mitt.

That's perfect. Thank you.

Just like the title asks, I was just wondering if it was acceptable to pro detailers or enthusiast detailers to lay the wash mitt on concrete before washing the car.

Is this OK?

Maybe if you we're getting paid hourly, and don't mind to spend the rest of the day compounding/polishing all the scratches and swirls you created, then I guess its acceptable.

For us detailers who aren't in the "matrix" we know better :)

I would say yes you could lay it on the concrete if you were looking to mess up your finish. That's a NO NO for any of us.
