interior glass cleaning

what's the difference?



in this case, I need to clean the rear window of our '92 900.

It has the window heating/defrosting traces (I don't think they're embedded) on top. Little smudges have developed on either side of the traces that won't come off with glass cleaner.



suggestions?
 
If they won't come off with glass cleaner and a MF, maybe they're more than smudges. They might be from whatever's bonding the defogger element to the glass (as you suspect it's not embedded *in* the glass).



I'd rather live with imperfectly cleaned glass than open a can of worms with the element, so I think all I'd try is using different glass cleaners and scrubbing a bit more aggressively with an appropriate MF.
