Interesting Detailing Story

Sir, that list is kept buy the CIA. :) I'm sure it's guaranteed minimum wage. Certainly wouldn't want that to be the vehicle you said WHOOPS on. No doubt you can bring the shine with these or any other detailers.

Dave - that guy says he is an Airplane Detailer..

Having done a few Airplanes, I can tell you I dont Ever want to be a Detailer of Airplanes..

He must subscribe to Renny Doyle's website and perhaps signed up for his $$$ Detailing Classes ?? Yeah, I just read the 2nd page, and he did sign up for those classes previously..

I know about those guys - every year about, they come up to Seattle and go Polish the Airplanes at the Airplane Museum up there.. Yawn... :)

You get really dirty and black polishing the aluminum skinned planes, so there is that to deal with...

Its volunteer work, so not sure how that works either... Quote - All came willingly, volunteering their time. EndQuote..

If you get with Renny Doyle, who I believe started this project years ago, you could be invited to go spend a week up there or whatever it takes and do this...

Correct. At least from my understanding of things. Mr. Doyle appears to be the man in charge of picking the group. It's my guess he picks them both from his current network of detailers, as well as students that sign up for his workshops.

I looked into his workshops, and that's where I got the info. But they're pretty expensive for someone like me, so I won't be taking one anytime soon.

I was a selected member of this team and I can say that everything was on my own dime but the experience was unreal and very humbling.

It was a team of 30 members all hand picked by Renny Doyle from all over the country. It was long days of 12-16 hour days constant polishing either on paint or aluminum.

Beemerboy you should talk to Renny about the project. He is the one who has always organized it from the beginning and has always taken in the task with AFO.

It was a true honest to be a part of the team for this year.

I was gonna say I think I remember seeing one of our people as part of the team.

Then saw Evan's post
