Sep 1, 2005 #1 D daystrom New member I love that Insulator Wax but sometimes I get streaks on my black Ram 1500. Takes some QD and elbow grease to erase them. What would be causing these? Too much product?

Sep 1, 2005 #2 atticdog New member could be to much product lkike you said or maybe not fully haxed over because of to much pruct Iw works best when spread extremely thin just barely able to see it on the panel

I apply it quite thin, not as thin as I would with SG, but about the same as #16. 30 minutes later and the little residue is easily buffed off. I have tried applying it quick thick but it still wipes off pretty easy. Try letting it dry a bit longer, and use the swipe test.

Sep 1, 2005 #6 DaGonz Autopia fire/rescue. Temperature and humidity are also factors in wax streaking.
Sep 1, 2005 #7 S Scottwax New member I've found that overall, liquid waxes tend to be more prone to streaking than pastes. Go thinner, wait a little longer to remove is the best advice I can give.
