My 2001 Trans am has 16x8 stock chrome wheels. Inside the wheel the clear has come off and is flaking off. I think this is normal wear and tear. Anything I can use to clean, cover and protect?

If you have another set of wheels to use you could always strip the factory clear and re coat them. They really is not much you can do for flaking clear on wheels. Maybe try and reclear the area that peeled but it probbaly won't lest too long.
