Well many of you will know that I asked if these were good towels or just bargain basement deals like walmart/target etc. So after much advice and thought I deceided to call Rick at ADS and ask him. I left a message on a SUNDAY afternoon and he called back within 5 minutes of my message. In todays fast paced need it now to much to do world, customer service is #1 with ADS, great job Rick!

To my surprise this afternoon when I got home from a long day at work I found 2 cases, I was happy and knew what they were. My initial though was damn thats alot of towels! Hope they are good and not bargain basement deals!

Below are the attached pictures of the cases as they were opened, the packaging was very well put together and the case that did have the foaming triggers and the m95 sample was undamaged as well good job UPS and Rick for great packaging!

I performed the CD/DVD test on a blank DVD with the GOLD towels, I figured they are the same towel just different colors the test should be the same with the green... below are the pictures yay!

Gold towels: nice

Oh yah I got a free detail bag for ordering $100 or more of stuff....

So far CD/DVD test = passed

I would say almost double the thickness of the walmart/target types. For me though the walmart MF wouldn't pass the CD/DVD test, and they are much nicer feeling than them as well.

So far ADS and there Premium MF Towels have got my vote, they are easily going to be my primary towel for paint work...

Thanks for looking and damn 200 MF towels I dont think I will run out soon! I have 4 details lined up this weekend we shall see how they do....

mercury sable, ford bronco, 98 mustang convert., 1990ish chevy truck....hope I have enough MF towels! :)

So far I am really happy with the quality, they aren't eurow type but they are very nice and passed the CD/DVD test so I can't ask for much more! :)

Um...I hate to bring this up...but I hope you're a woman since those look like painted toenails...:nervous:

So what's the deal with those towels? They look like the Poorboy's velvet glass towels, if you know what they are. Or are they not like that at all?

Looks to be a pretty nice swirl-free LSP, too. :usa

Oh, and speaking of dedicated glass MF towels... Setek, how do you like the meant-for-glass MF's? I had one, but it got lost before I could use it. It was kind of grabby... I guess the glass MF's are meant to be? I can't seem to get the micro lint off of the glass. Wondering if the glass MF's are better...

Well, I trot out my stories every time we have a glass towel thread, but yes, those Poorboy's towels (and the similar/identical ones) are a little...um, soft? And grabby, but they work well and don't seem to leave any lint. I never get to use mine on glass because my friend Jr. abducted them all for cleaning her eyeglasses.

Probably my favorite glass towels are my old Poorboy's Work Towels, which are kind of a coarse low nap towel, kind of like a (old) Meg's Ultimate Wipe, but not with the flat weave. They've got the perfect amount of bite and stiffness, and don't seem to leave any lint. Unfortunately, they aren't available any more (actually the ones in the picture on his website are the ones I have, but if you order them they don't look like that and when I asked Steve about it he said he hasn't changed them  ).

I have also used the blue Huck towels but I haven't been hugely happy with them. I have found that although there are many edgeless towels which you would think are all clones of the (old) Meg's Ultimate Wipe, there are actually at least 3 subtly different ones, most of which have been suggested for glass. I have a batch that I got from Microfibertech which (at least before washing) seem a tad rougher and might make good glass towels; I have a hard time imagining them linting.

And of course I have a pack of the 16x16 WW's from Microfibertech which they also tout for glass, which I haven't tried yet. (There are out of stock on them right now)

Sorry for the book.

Let's see, that'd be 25 towels per vehicle... yup, sounds about right ;)

Wouldn't that be 50 each? :)

my 3 yr old had ALOT to do with my toe nails, dont laugh, we were playing barefoot in the yard and we have a dirt pile/mud pile! mom wasn't happy but hey it was good clean fun...sorta

the cat is a pure demon, and in fact has scared away people from our front door....she barks and hisses....

edit: mud is good for the skin my wife tells me and thats what my 3 yr old had in mind too, good for daddy and good to make mud pies in

No, actually, that's just what I'm looking for... appreciate the info. Anxious to hear what you think of the Microfibertechs when you finally break em out.
