in stead of Dawn?

Can Simple Green be used to remove wax when washing the car if it is cut thin enough? Dawn seems to be the popular choice though.,

I have seen this done and the only thing I did not like about it was the fact that the simple green foams FOREVER! If I was going to do it I would just use dawn.

Simple Green is pretty strong stuff in its undiluted state. How much dilution would be thin enough?
Meguiar's APC+ is recommended to be cut 64:1 for wax removal. Would the Simple Green need close to that?
As has been said, you would probably be safer with Dawn.
Unless you are going to use Zaino, stripping the old was is probably not necessary. If you use AIO or SEC/GEPC as a pre-cleaner, the surface should be ready for a sealant or a wax.
That seems to work for me prior to UPP for a sealant and before using S100 for a wax.
While lots of people use it, Dawn doesn't seem to be necessary or desirable for washing my vehicles. Does a good job cleaning foam wax applicators, though. :)

Turbo,

I don't do the DAWN deal but instead if I am seeking to remove waxes and such I will add Hi-Temps "Tar and Wax" remover to my wash water and then with a wash mitt, seperated for this use, I just do a normal washing.

Works great.
