I'm not happy with SeaDoo right now

Had a bit of a situation yesterday when my waverunner shut-down in the middle of the bay.:help:

Somebody tell me why the geniuses at Sea Doo put fuses in a box that is nearly impossible to access. One of my gauges got moisture in it and caused a 5 amp fuse to blow rendering my waverunner dead.

unfortunately...they probably put it there so it is hard to access that way you have to take it to them for repair...cars are like that now too...

If I were the type to sue, I bet I could get some money out of them over it.

Being stranded on a SeaDoo could get serious depending on the situation. IMO, there is no excuse to have a non-crucial thing like a wet trim gauge cause your waverunner to become dead in the water.

Come to think of it,
I'm calling my lawyer
right now.
:thought:

Welcome to the world of "Marine Engineering". :)
Components that are installed during the assembly of the boat that can't be accessed after the assembly is complete.
Sun decks that can't be opened/closed without scuffing upholstery.
Motor pods/transoms that won't allow an outboard motor to tilt without hitting part of the boat structure.
Oil filters that are virtually impossible to change without spilling oil in the bilge area.
Walk-thru windshields that make metal to metal contact when the wind shield is in the open position.
Ski storage lockers that aren't long enough to allow a ski to be placed in them.
Parts and accessories that are overpriced unbelievably.

And even with all that, I still love boats.
FWIW, the only problem on that list that applied to me was the walk-thru wind shield thing. I fixed it with one of those 1/2 round glue on doorstops. :)

Troy..I totally agree with you..that could of been a life threatening situation if a storm was blowing in ..just for a simple fuse...If I was you I would be on the phone to Seadoo and give them a piece of mind....It should be engineered so that the gauge cluster shuts down but you have power to get in to resolve the problem....

You think you have problems with the Seedoo just don't ever buy a Polaris spends more time in the shop than in the water.
