I took some new snap shoots of my pride and joy's, a 1997 Silver Vette convertable, a 1997 Red BMW M Coupe, and a 1998 Black Hummer Wagon. (Here are some quality pictures Don.)

Great pics Jason. Now that's what I'm talking about. The red Bimmer looks exceptional. Did you use Klasse on that?

Yep Klasse/Souveran on the BMW. I took my time though. Applied a coat of Klasse AIO and removed, waited 3 days and applied a coat of Klasse. I let it sit on the paint for a week. I then removed and waited a week. I applied the next coat of Klasse and let it sit for a week, then removed. I waited another week and applied a coat of Souveran, then 4 days later I applied the next coat of Souveran. 5 weeks for this process of Klasse AIO/SG X2/ Souveran X2. Results were very nice.

Heres my monitor with a picture I snapped today (not going to post the new pictures because they are huge like 300-400KB each.)

Amazing, this guy could tell whatever product you use, good job Don and thanks for making this forum such a wonderful resource. Now jason, we can't all be Puterbum :) .

hahaha AlBoston, nothing wrong with being nice and slow. Some people just detail that way.

But 5 weeks to detail a car thats smaller than most keyboards is kinda stretching it........

Hello everyone...

I previously posted this at autogeek.net but have not gotten any responses so i figured i would try my luck here and see if anyone has any input for me.

I currently own a white 2009 honda fit that i purchased about 4 months ago. The car looked clean until i saw it at night under the street lights and noticed swirls and slight oxidation.

I decided to clean it up considering im going to be keeping this car for a while. Now im no stranger to detailing. I was a production detailer for 6 years at a local auto dealer. No experience with chemicals other than what we used in the shop, 3m products and dewalt equipment.

I puchased a porter cable and wolfgang swirl system from A.G.net along with a bunch of other goodies like a foam gun, grits for the bottom of my buckets. mf towels, clay, etc... to get me back into the game.

My issue im having is after i did the full process on the car step by step with each pad the car looked great during the day. Once i got it back under that damn steet light I noticed I had (hate to describe it this way) clouds. Just not nice clear reflections. No real swirls (its not 100% but white is hard to do during the day). Now my spoiler (plastic) looks nice and clear giving a perfect reflection but my hood (which i spent the most time on) roof and doors have this wired fog like cloud.

I washed, clayed, and followed the system. Put the sealer on and whiped it off right away but let the car sit overnight (12 hours) then i used a mothers carnuba wax the following day.

I dont have a very good camera to take pictures with but im hoping someone can point out my error and get me moving in the right direction.

Is it clearcoated or single stage paint , do you know?

Im guessing if its single stage there may be more oxidized paint you may need to polish off .

Look at it under direct sunlight also .Pictures owuld still help.

I responded by asking what steps you did. I saw you did respond later - got an email notification.

Based upon your answer there, I would mark off a test spot in the cloudy section and using something isopropyl alcohol (4:1) to remove the Mothers and WG.

If the cloudiness remains, it is improper polish breakdown so you will have to repolish. If it disappears it was either improper WG or Mothers application or Mothers just does not like to sit on top of the WG (cannot get evenness).

What is your final polish before you put wax on the car? Id like to reiterate what is said above by saying that you might not be using the right procedure before waxing and thus you are having clouds.
