Just registered, come over from bimmerfest. I have a PC thats been in the box for about a year now....sounds like this is the place to learn how to use it.

I happen to be a 4th generation native of this lovely state that everybody loves to hate! My daughter is the 5th. :) I'm originally from Fort Lauderdale but I now live down by Miami. :) Before you get too hard on Florida just remember that this is the birth place of the Rum Runner, Sidney Poitier and Jim Morrison! Now how can anybody not love us for those contributions to the world?? :yay hehehehehehhehehehehe
 
Just curious, why wouldn't people be nice to you?

I always hate when people make that statement when joining a website... it almost comes across as accusatory, like the people who aren't newbies on this site are all unable to be cordial, and all lack professionalism. It's offensive to me.

I made a perfectly legitimate statement, asked a perfectly legitimate question, and you had to be a jackal about it. And now, YOU have escalated what was once a perfectly fine thread, flowing and going just fine, into a train-wreck. Yes, YOU, the moderator who is supposed to PREVENT trainwrecks, have CAUSED one.... and ruined the "cool" vibe YOURSELF.

Don't place blame where it isn't deserved; and maybe try NOT posting when you're in an easily excitable mood and wanting to wield a power-trip.

I don't hate FL, I just prefer TX. Less humidity, less crime, less people who drive 20 in a 60 :D

But I do miss the beach :)

Nah....not humid here at all, unless you go down to Houston. Here in CenTex, it is dry heat. And man, have we had months dry heat with no rain....blah....
 
I lived in League City, just south of Houston over the summer and it wasn't that bad. A nice breeze from the coast and a little rain quite often, but it was never that humid. Though in Houston, it is killer.

Now i'm in Denton, and it's dry heat like no other. About 103+ everyday since i've been here. It finally rained here today though which is nice.

Ditto on the rain today....finally after over a month..
Just enough rain to make the roads steam...

I've never been to Texas yet. I'll go west for a visit at some point I'm sure. :) I'm glad you found a place where you are happy. :)

It rained a decent amount yesterday, and it POURED today! So now I guess instead of drought we can worry about flood. I love TX :D
