Ike Passed and I washed

DFW did not get hit as hard as earlier predicted. It rained a lot on Saturday but today it is beautiful out. Highs in the 80's with a nice cool breeze. :rockon

I recently bought a refill of Chem Guys Bare Bones so I thought I would try their soap and QD as well. I got Extreme Bodywash & Synthetic Wax Gloss Enhancer and a bottle of the Extreme Slick Synthetic Quick Detailer.

I was of course eager to try out the new stuff. My Jag was dirty from the rain earlier in the week. It had a lot of dirty spots but not heavy grime. Well, the Chem Dudes website says the bodywash has a cleaning ability of 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. I'm not sure I can agree with that. I was surprised at how much of the dirt spots I had to clean with the trusty PB S&W after drying the car with the leaf blower.

I did like the slickness of the soap and the way the suds clinged to the surface for a long time. It left a nice finish too. So all in all I give the product a thumbs up :bigups, but its not replacing my PB SS&S.

I used PB S&G on the wheels, Pinnacle Black Oynx Tire gel on the tires and Bare Bones on the wheel wells.

I finished the car with the new QD. It seems to work well, but I'm withholding judgment till I see it in action this week.

Next up was the Nissan Quest. Again I used the new soap. But I finished with PB QD+ :bigups

Both vehicles got Surf City Glass cleaner, vacuum, and PB NL on the interior.

All done in about 4 hours.
