I've heard mixed opinions, but from what I understand, it is better to apply IHG by hand. The PC can create too much heat which hurts the oils meant to be applied by hand.
Yea, unfortunately, thats what I heard...Maybe it'll be ok on the PC slowest speed (1). I only like to apply polish with my machine...I bought this extra container of the IHG because I had always thought that an orbital, even the PC on slow setting, was more akin to hand application then machine, by which is usually meant a rotary.
As a matter of fact, when you read Meguiars descriptions of their chemicals, like Fine Cut Cleaner, for instance, they clearly make a distinction between machine (rotary) application, and orbital. They ONLY want you to apply this product with a rotary, as it takes heat to break it down sufficiently. They told me on the phone that an orbital is just like a hand, in that they both to not provide enough heat to sufficiently break it down so as not to scratch.
Anyway, anybody want to swap my unopened container of IHG for, say, a container of Omega Glaze??
