Noting that I'd *NEVER* CCD/QD a vehicle after a drive anyhow...
Sooner or later I'd want to flush the dirt out of the nooks and crannies. Dirt in out-of-the-way places can even retain moisture and cause corrosion. And dirt will eventually adhere/bond to the paint in a way that QDing just isn't the right approach.
Some of my vehicles are about as much garage-queens as I can imagine (how about the Jag- an '85 with ~18K miles, and the '84 RX-7 only has ~24K) and even the S8 doesn't get out much (~14K), but those get full, regular washes just like the daily drivers or they don't get touched at all.

..[FK425].. is awesome. I use it while drying my car after washing - the surface is so slick.
Yeah, I do that with it too, but only on the vehicles that have sealants on them. I used to do it on everything, but I've had a few odd cases of solvent action on waxes that lead to pseudo-holograms.
But on everthing synthetic, from KSG to UPP to FK1000p, it's simply great.
EDIT: Almost forgot...on a less-than-spotless surface, I'd rather use FK146 than FK425. Better cleaning IME. IF I notice a waterspot or something after the vehicle's left the garage, I'll use FK146 (or maybe even ONR at QD strength) if I want to clean it off (and risk marring the paint :nervous: ).
