If I owned a rat rod...

...this is what she'd look like. Well, maybe not exactly, but this would be pretty damn sweet. Wicked slant chop, layin' on the ground, matte olive green with glossy green pinstripe to outline those matte red scallops and plenty of power to back it up even though I'd really only be cruisin' nice and slow.

Just a little something I started about a year ago and never had time to finish it. Here it is...for now...

Hope you like it! Thanks!

***And Gearhead...if you squint real hard...it kinda looks like a Mach 1.:rofl ***

Are you ever gonna do a Mach 1 for Gearhead? :D

Pretty cool although olive green would not be my color of choice.

Thats pretty cool, love the green paint scheme.:bigups

Just a FYI, there will be a Street Rod nats show in Springfield May 22-24, always a great turn out with a wide variety of Rod styles.

MAN I hate Rat Rods
People to lazy to even put paint on them.

Really?

I look at them like an art form, kind of an interpretation the origins of hot rodding which was really based on regular guys throwing together whatever they could afford to build, paint would have really been a luxury back then.

However what you have designed would be classified as a Street Rod(pre1949)

:inspector:Rat Rod's have no paint....Just rollin rust buckets.:rofl

That thing was running low 10's:rockon

Thanks for the comments. I know many people feel rat rods are awful and pointless. I personally, like them IF...and only if...they are tastefully done. I've seen a number of them that truly look like people bolted any kind of 'junk' on the car to make it look old and it just looks hideous. No functionality or style, just crap they had laying around was bolted in with no rhyme or reason. But...I have also seen many that are very tastefully done...very functional and clever ways to make it work with a sense of style.

This is the way I see it...be it a rat rod, muscle car, tuner, import, street rod, hot rod...there will always be people who just know how to build a "cool" car and there will always be people who truly have no style and build a car anyway, their own way, and it just looks "weak". That...is what separates the cool cars from the lame ones...trophy winners from non-trophy winners. Plus...we all have our own sense of what we perceive to be cool and that's what makes hot-rodding great. We can all share our love for the automobile however we see fit. Build what you like and enjoy driving it and *#*# what others say as long as your happy. ;)

Keep on cruisin'!

Actually, I have a 70 Mach 1 started just for you. Hopefully I'll have it finished this week. Can you feel it?...hell's freezing over!:rofl
Hey, I never said anything about Hell but it has been the better part of 2 years that I've been razzing you.
