Well even though I may be taking a short hiatus from detailing while we get moved out of our house I had to make another purchase. I have been eyeing a new G21/G15 since they came out and finally decided to pull the trigger on one last night. After a quick discussion with Nick I decided to go with the G21 and 5in backing plate setup. Also ordered there fast correcting cream, correcting cream and perfecting cream along with 2 of each color 5.5 pads. Thanks again Nick for taking the time to go over stuff and for a great price

As I've said for years, there's nothing better than having all the right tools for any situation

I have these
makita 9227 x 2
Festool shinex
fein wpo 14-15 xe ( new ultra low speed rotary )
Dynabrade pneumatic rotary 3 inch
dynabrade 57126
metabo sxe450 turbo with changeable orbit throw

Three more coming soon

around her we call it Obsessive Compulsive Detailing and we all know that you can never have too much detailing stuff. :help:

Should've got a Rupes to complete the lineup.

Well?!? What do you think of the G21?

fein wpo 14-15 xe ( new ultra low speed rotary )

Wow, that machine goes all the way down to 200 RPM

Do you see much difference vs a PE-14 at 600 RPM?

I believe I have ten, or is it eleven? But that includes a pair of PCs and another pair of Cyclos. And here I basically *never* do correction!

Ah the joys of polisher hoarding... My business basically doubled this past summer and I went from having just a PC to buying a Makita rotary, a Rupes 21, and a PE-8. Now I'm eyeing a Rupes Duetto and possibly the LHR75e if I realy feel the need (itll be hard to unseat the PE-8 from the small detail work)

That's pretty much what happened to me this past year too. I upgraded to the 3401. Got a awesome deal on a GG 3in. Then got a open box deal on the PE8 and now the G21! Add to that my Makita still gets a good workout. The PE-8 is a killer tool.

Nice! Never have too many buffers.

So for a hobbyist/weekend guy, which one would you recommend?
There's too many to choose from :(

Edit- already have G110v1 and need more/faster corrective ability

Id think the Rupes Duetto would probably be the best option for a hobbyist. In between machines like the rupes 15/21 and the PC/griots 8mm throw machines.

oh yes, very very nice. can work it at 500, 350 and 200 rpm all day and is extremely smooth and runs cool
Only thing about it that I dont like totally is due to double reduction gearbox and straight cut gears (what they told me) is that it's noisier than Makita. at 1000 and over it gets loud and screamy.
