I spent the day with 'the other woman'...

Alright...I'm bound and determined to get this black friggin' hunk o'crap to look 'perfect' if it kills me!!!!! ;)

Seriously...it's rained ever since I noticed the 'haziness' so I've not had time to do anything about it.

Well, tonight I had a quick few minutes, so I took my PB Spray N Wipe and wiped down a few spots (I did not have time to wash it all) and in the garage, under the fluorescent light, I'm not noticing the haziness after rubbing on it some more. I'll be able to tell more when I can get it out in the direct sunlight, but under the fluorescent...and with my halogen, I think it looks pretty good.

Here are 3 shots to see what you guys think of the finish itself. I think it looks right...no swirls or marring that I can see, so I'll see what happens in the sunlight this week and especially after it stops raining and I can wash it well.

Also...I thought of something else that 'might' have contributed to the haziness problem. Before my wife left for work, she sprayed the back of my neck with sunscreen on the day I stayed home to buff on it. Well, I have a habit of throwing the cord over my shoulder so it doesn't hang and bounce off the car as I buff. I'm wondering if, as I grabbed the cord to move it around, some of the sunscreen got on it which then got on my hand, which then transferred to my MF towels as I wiped off the product. That could have left an oily residue (even a slight residue) on enough of the towel to wreak havoc on things...right??

So...sorry for the long story...I'm just trying to figure out what I did wrong so I can avoid it in the future.

Thanks for all of your help/advice/suggestions!:bigups

that's pretty clear, especially for Ford paint.. if you don't see the haze anymore under the halogens, then I doubt you'll see anything in the sun ... there are only theories as to why it hazed and just disappeared by itself, but the sunscreen on sounds good to me :D
