I'm blessed with 7 vehicles to take care of and one of them is an Explorer that for the most part my wife drives.
Since we usally go togeather it is not driven much.
About two weeks ago I backed it outside and pulled another vehicle in the shop to work on and when I put the Explorer back in I did not notice that it had a bird bomb on the side of it.:wall

After two weeks I was looking for somethinf out their and noticed the bird poo and I cleaned it off and the paint has NO etching or anything it is perfect.

KUDOS TO DG 105
:bigups :bow :yay

How do you like the look?

Does it lighten, darken, makes flakes pop, leave a glossy sealant look (like encased in plastic)?

I only do my own cars and none of them have flakes. Most are Black but the Explorer is a 92 that I bought new and it now has 33000 miles on it but it has single stage paint that is a red wine color.
It is kept in a garage and I put the DG on it once every 2 years.
IMO !05 does not have the plasticized look like Zaino but it has a little more gloss than most Carnuba.
It is the most durable LSP that I have used.

Bart...that rig has SS paint?

Interesting...didn't know that...you see very little SS paint on newer cars these day...meaning anything from the 90's even
When I painted the Corvette I wish I had put single stage on it.
If you keep a LSP on it SS will last for years only real advantage to CC is when neglected it will hold up better.
SS don't scratch as easy and you can make a repair without repainting the whole panel.

If you take care of your car and want to fix every rock chip SS is a much better finish than CC.

I cut my teeth on SS paint...my father was a framer and painted all the tractors and trucks on the farm...I was always in the shop with him in the winter when this was done...back then it was wet sanding and 3M compounds with a rotary and wool pad...that seemed to never stay on right...my 66 stang had 26 coats of lacquer on it...I agree if I was painting a show car today I would consider SS paint

I have spent thousands of dollars repainting panels in recent years on my show car.
In the last 10 years I could have saved 10 grand if I had went with a SS paint job.
