I Love My Litte Green Machine!

I bought the LGM like a year ago and have only used it once... and then it was just to do a quick clean of my carpets which are black so visually it's kind of hard to tell if you've made some huge improvement.

Anyway... my '91 Mustang had a seal leak on the passenger window that I was not aware of. It's garage-kept so it rarely sees rain unless it's being driven.

The other day I drove it to work and we had a downpour. When I left at the end of the day I had a HUGE amount of water soaked into my passenger seat.

I went home and immediately put the fan on it and let it dry, but the next morning I had a large water stain on the seat.

This was last week...

So yesterday I go out to the garage and fire up my LGM hoping that it would lessen the stain. I wasn't expecting it to completely clean it, but I was hoping I could at least get it better until I could rent an extractor.

After about 30 minutes using the LGM I put the fan on the seat again and let it dry.

Three hours later I came out to find my seat in PERFECT condition. Not a sign of the stain and looking brand new!!

This little thing is amazing!

I HIGHLY recommend it!

The only thing is it takes a while for the water to get hot... that's my only complaint but hell... even then I'm not complaining-- I LOVE my LGM!

I was thinking about getting one for personal use, which model do you have?

I have the Proheat version but Bissel has come out with another version that is specifically for auto detailing. My guess is the mechanics of it are identical to the proheat with some attachments designed for auto interiors.

Honestly I don't remember what version it is... I bought it at Home Depot like a year ago. But I'm pretty sure it wasn't the auto version.

Most likely was not the Auto version since that just recently came out. The auto version is black where as the Little Green Machine is green or white depending on the model. My proheat one is white.

The "regular" ProHeat model comes with the "turbobrush" while the car veresion has a sliding crevice tool rather than the turbobrush. Both come with 3" Each piece is available individually from Bissel, and not all that expensive ($24.99 for the turbobrush, $3.99 for the crevice tool plus shipping). The two units are also different colors and the car version is a few dollars cheaper. I only know this because I have the regular ProHeat (have yet to use it) and looked on the Bissell website this morning to see what the differences were and what it would cost to get the additonal attachments.

Can this little machine able to clean old stains? I bought a used car recently and there were stains on the seats and headliners. I am thinking buying one of this machine but I need to see some feedback before I pull the trigger.

Thanks.

Anyone have experience with the Big Green Machine? Turns out we sell both of these at Best Buy and so i get a mega huge discount on them :D Is the Big one worth having over the auto one?

It may. I generally start cleaning carpet and uphostery by spraying cleaner on the material and then agitating the cleaner with my carpet brushes on my DA. Once finished, I use my LGM to rinse the cleaner off.

I just purchased a VX 5000. I have a new Bissell's Auto Care pro heat thats only been used once. Anyone interested?

trike,

I have a basic, #14007 Little Green Machine that cost $79. I just bought an old, nastier than filthy Volvo, and this thing has been a dream. Fill with hot tap water after adding Bissell solution, and you don't want to know the gallons of putrid water I've pulled from this 17 year-old car's seats, door cards, and carpets. The PO apparently had dogs, and perhaps small livestock as well, that rode in the car. All of the upholstery is now fresh and clean. I'm really, really diggin my Little Green.

Wow, just noticed the date. Way to revive a thread...
