I just had my E39 M5 professionally photographed **Lots of great pics**

Those really are amazing photos. That is automotive brochure level, mixed in with Top Gear prowess levels!

that's awesome. How did he get those low shots while driving? It looked like he leaned out of his door just to take those... front mounted camera?

A few people have wondered about the shots and I'll explain:'

Yes the car was actually moving while the pictures were being taken. A camera is rigged to the car and photographs the car going around the turns. The rig is then removed digitally and all you have left is a car doing a sweeping turn.

Something like this...

Rigs like this are quite expensive, and you have to be very good in PS to clone out the rig or else it will be quite obvious.

The rigs aren't too bad in $$ if you build it yourself ($87 if you build it yourself) and the way you can take it out is by taking one picture without the rig attached at same angle; and then layer that over the one with it attached. You basically don't need to worry about everything in the picture without the rig; just need to make sure you can overlay the parts covered properly and leave the rest of the picture untouched.

That being said; I want to build one of these rigs but my car is just not aggressive enough or special to justify it (or anywhere I can drive with it); haha.
