I just bought this car.......

It's a 2003 Spiral Gray Corvette Convertible. Only 19,000 miles on it and the guy needed money. I got a great deal on the car, primarily because I used the word "Cash!!!"

What's killing me is that I won't have the car for a week or so. He just moved here from Florida, paid off the Corvette, and now he's waiting for the title in the mail....

It is in remarkably good shape, no rock chips, etc., but it is in need of an EXTREME Luster Detail!!!

I can easily see 20 hours...

Wheels off, wheel wells, engine, interior, clay, paint correction.... yeah, 20 hours should do it!

Here's the only picture I have...

More to come!!! (I'm like a little kid again!):clap:

So that's the one you were telling me about, looks sweet and looks like a labor of love coming soon ( Full Detail By Luster ) Congratulation's on your new baby!............

Thanks guys...

It was really hard negotiating with this guy, because I don't have a very good "game face"...

I wanted to say Man, I LOVE this freakin' car!!!!!

But I was calm and cool. [Completely out of character for me!!!:D I'm NEVER calm!:scared::w00t::scared::w00t::scared::w00t:]

Nice ride.

Are you gonna sell one of your other cars, or do you have enough space in the garage for all of them?

You are right, that Trans Am looks spotless (and only 14k miles, sheesh).

I know you have a Grand Prix as a daily driver, and another red Trans Am, IIRC. It must be sweet having two "nice weather" Corvettes!

I sold the Red T/A when I bought the GTP. Well, I worked at my job for 32 years and saved a lot of money during that time, didn't take many vacations, etc., so I guess I can reap the rewards now!

Well, you certainly had the right idea! Save the money for retirement and spend it on things that you wouldn't have had the time to enjoy when you were working.

Congratulations, Bill!! I have to admit it, I'm pretty jealous right now. ;) You've worked hard for your toys, enjoy them my friend. :)

20,500 huh... i have 19,000 cash........just kidding, congrats on the new toy. the c5 will handle way better than the c3 but it won't turn as many heads

I think you got a good deal on the car.

After you enjoy using your new foam gun on your new ride...tell us your experience.
Too many toys....

Love that color gray on the C5. That really is nice looking......never thought I would see a silver/gray on a Corvette that I liked as much. Clean-up with your super detail, it should be spectacular. Post the pics when your done & tell us your super process w/products.

Thanks.

See ya

Awesome Bill, congrats. I have been eye balling 02-04 Z06s for quite some time and have been very close to pulling the trigger.

The C5 Z06's are an incredible buy right now. I've seen them in the low $20's! Especially when you look at used C6 Z06's in the $50's!

My wife has wanted a convertible for a long time now (Well, me too!) and I just couldn't pass it up!

Congrats Bill! Love the color.

I had a 01 Z06 for 4 years, 70k miles and 35 trackdays (roadcourse.) Loved the car as a daily driver.

Maybe I missed it, but is it a 6 speed or auto?
