I got to use my UDM today and....

The power switch broke about 5mins into my first panel.

This is my first post here, but ive been autogeek for a little while (Few weeks), and thats where i bought it from. The part that broke is the plastic thing that sits in-between the guards (the part that you actually touch --> its attatched to the switch inside the unit). That part popped off mid panel, so i just unplugged it and tried to get it back in.

it appears that it was not inserted correctly, and because i was on speed 5 i think the vibrations kicked it out. It also looks like i have to take the entire unit apart, re-assemble the switch, then put the UDM back together. Obviously im not touching it because im afraid to void the warranty.

How should i go about getting this fixed? I have already emailed AG today, so ill see what they say about it.

Do you guys have any advice for me? Will AG cover it, or should i return it to the manufacture??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Uday Reddy

glad I waited a few weeks on purchasing - I'll wait for rev 1.5 or a couple of months I guess. Good luck with the switch though.

AG should take care of no problem....DaviB may chime in here also..and want to help you..he is very good at clearing any issues...David's service on any issues seems to above par....he is a no questions asked person.....

See what AG says and go from there..even call them....

Do not take it apart...they can't solve a problem if they can not see it...leave as is....

David is standing behind this machine 1000%.....

I asked Lynn about your issue. She told me you got the slide snapped back on. Is that correct?

On Monday I'm doing another round of training on the line for final quality check to include the slide switch. Yours was the third machine that had this little annoyance.

Yea, I got it fixed, but my switch button was kinda torn up :(, she said they would mail me another one. I thought about trying to sand down the plastic in between the slide, and the switch moving part, but I didn't, due to possibly voiding the warranty. Can't wait for the Upgrade, Do you have an Estimated Timeline?
