The Eagle One stuff rules!! I've been using it for years and years. It's terrific. But I'll compare it to EFHI when I get my CMA shipment. Then we'll really see who's King Of The Hill.

I'm tired of trying to keep the wife's car looking nice!

They simply don't care! She finally buys a nice used car, 2005 Acura RL, which then gets nailed with $9500 in hail repair last year, basically a full repaint. I wet-sanded the car smooth and got it looking like new. A month or two later she gets in an accident (on the phone of course!!!) which damages right front fender and bumper cover. Every time I wash it I find more door dings, scratches and scuffs! She refuses to park away from the crowd! Now last night I washed it and gave it a once over with a cleaner wax and I see that she messed up the front bumper cover. Looks like she bottomed out big time pulling into a steep driveway or something (she can't recall it). So basically the new bumper cover that was installed back in July is now scraped up, paint flaked off a little from the flexing too. The interior really drives me nuts too because you can't even see the floor or seats! She fills it with crap and never empty's it out. I'm embarrassed to even ride in it!

I'm done! From now on she can clean it herself or take it elsewhere!

End Rant! :D

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Good for you Chad.

I agree 100%. I try to maintain my wife's car, and the same thing happens. She has bumper rash all over her wheels, etc. She does take care of the interior of her new car better then she did with the old car, but I am waiting for her to get tired of that and trash it again. Then I am supposed to clean up her mess.

They either get it, or they don't. Unfortunately, most people look it a car as a means to get from point A to point B.

You are better off concentrating on cars where people actually care about their car. I feel your pain:scared:

I do think you need to get her a Bluetooth headset however. That is dangerous.

I feel your pain my friend, however, it's not associated with a wifey.

For me, it's every time I go back home and look at my parents' vehicles. Dad's cars are always destroyed on the interior, wrappers, junks, parts, anything and everything everywhere. Mom's car is always a mess inside and out.

When I go back for xmas I'll pry still detail them up and give them a good coat of protection since they are in Iowa.

Can't rely on anyone to do it right!

Chad and Barry. It must be a wife thing. I go through the exact same thing. After I spend countless hours making everything look nice with in 3 days the floors are getting hard to find and the seats are full. One day last summer I found what looked like white paint in both front seats and on the center armrest. I asked her how she got paint in it. She said, oh thats cream cheese and I haven't had time to clean it yet. She did clean it after I mentioned it again a week later. A couple of nights ago we used it to go to town and she had to move stuff to get room to put her legs and feet on the passengers side. And that not counting the stuff she had to move out of the seat to be able to set. She keeps a neat and clean house, I can't figure it out.

Chad,
Maybe you need to get your wife to hang out with mine. My wife always parks in the way back of the lot and complains when her truck is dirty. We have an agreement that I will take care of her truck (washing / detailing) if she takes the necessary steps to maintain it. She will tell me "Zaino my windshield, please. The bugs are sticking to it". Her truck has got me a few jobs from her coworkers who always notice how nice it looks and then she explains the whole 'detail thing' to them.

This summer, she was the victim of a parking lot hit & run that left a small crease from the rear wheel to the bumper. She was so mad that she couldn't talk about it for an hour. Completely fuming. I thought she would implode. She wanted me to make an appointment for PDR the very next day. (If she would have caught the person who did it....oh man. A huge truckload of redheaded crazy woman would have been unleashed)

Interiors do get a little messy, but most of that is related to our 5 year and all the stuff he wants to bring with. Neither my wife or I like to eat in our vehicles if we don't absolutely have to.

Let me know if I can help. Don't give up yet!

Randy

When my wife calls me out from her car, I just look the other way. It's the so trash that makes me sick!.............If she see's this then the metal pot comes on :soldier:

Chad, I know you're knew to this marriage thing, so let me pass on one piece of hard-learned advice: never rant about your wife in public. One way or another, it always gets back to them ... and then you're dead meat ... and sleeping on the couch. Trust me on this.

My wife can manage to find mud even if it wouldn't rain for a month and it would be 100 degrees outside. I give her credit though, since we bought the new Regal she keeps me in check with keeping it clean! She has 2 rock chips on the front bumper that makes her mad anytime she sees them, it's almost cute.

Chad... and all that work wetsanding that paint to get it virtually perfect. ~X(

Yes, all that hard dirty work down the tubes Boo Hoo And to think, you will be doing this for the rest of your life :cursing: because even though they don't care, are disfunctional selves won't be able to leave it be :out:

Chad, you ever seen those old ppl in the newspaper celibrating there 50th anniversarys? Just think of the misery those Men have been through, and the storys they could tell. This will be you one day...if your lucky X_X

Hahahahah I can't help but laugh. I don't have a wife but I have a long term girlfriend and I am already seeing this. I have to keep up with the maintenance for her or it just wouldn't get done.

She still parks whereever bit I have her spotting swirls and buffer trails in other peoples cars... I am causiously optimistic that I will convert her  :cornut:

Wait hold on Chad !!!
First off the honeymoon is over LOL Welcome to married life .
Oh by the way i don't have that problem with my wife as far as car the being trashed or have door dings all over the place guess I'm lucky in one aspect of marriage .
Other then an accident my son had his pretty good with his car also . Wished he washed it more often but lucky he remembers to go too class.

My wife of 37 years can't go to town (1.5 miles) without a load of chocolate chips in the pocket of her sweater or jacket. About every two months I find a melted mess of chocolate on one of the leather seats or on the carpet. There are empty candy bar wrappers, old used Kleenex, empty pop cans and other assorted items scattered about. It looks like a homeless person camps out in her SUV. It seems to be a woman thing.
