I called Duragloss about Mixing FC&S and AW

When I go to the shows I need to clean my car and make it shine in a short time period. I have 105 on the car and I have been mixing the FC&S with AW.
I have a bottle with a graduated scale on the side and I mix one third AW and two thirds FC&S. This is enough fast clean and shine to clean the car and the AW steps up the shine. I called Duragloss today and talked to BILL I wanted to know what I should do if I get enough AW on that it Begin's to mute the color. He said that if that happens just use straight FC&S a few times and it will level out the AW. He said that they had never thought of that before but he thought that it was a good idea.. Bill is a chemist and he told me the two are compatible. He said just don't mix 951 with 601 the bottle may blow up.
Anyone who is using DG products if you want to give your car a quick detail and really ramp up the shine give it a try.

Bart,

I noticed the similarity between FC&S and AW the very first time I used them. (same scent). I believe that FC&S is a scaled-down version of AW with the lubricity added, so mixing them makes a lot of sense to save a step and time for a quick detail.

One thing I do when my car is not too dirty.....I wash with a foam gun, no wash mitt----then I dry using FC&S and a waffle-weave MF, and follow with a fast coat of AW. LOOKS GREAT~!

This is one reason that I'm not much into the amateur chemist thing.
Add to that the possibility of creating a mixture that can be dangerous to breathe.
Of course, the real concern is mixing up something that might be bad for the vehicles. :D

Nothing against those amateurish chemists,it's good to experiment...but if you start mixing 601 with 951 and calling it 1552...man that ain't right :lmfao

Report back your experiment~!:smile

well ..I believe the chemist was joking..lol....he is a funny guy to speak to..always joking .....

I do not think it would really blow up..cause the polymer in the 105 is close to whats in AW I was told...

and I was just playing with Surfer....
