I am so ashamed.....

I'm only ashamed because my car has license plates from the same state on it. This is just shameful... Take a look at the pictures. I think that says everything there is to say.

:rofl

I must admit, that is very creative. I especially like the support from the hitch to the tail gate. Is that a block of wood?:lmfao

Yeah, I guess it DOES need some polishing and such. ;)

See? That's what I'm talking about!! Did you see the tires on that trailer? No tire gloss at all!! How can they bear to have that thing on the road? It is absolutely disgraceful. I seriously thought that utah campers had more class than to drive around pulling a trailer with nasty looking tires. I don't think that exterior has been polished since 1983 either.

And yes Troy, that is a block of wood, but not just some random piece found in a wood pile. That is a block of the finest pine that money can buy. When it comes to safety we don't believe in cutting corners out here. :dnaughty

Hopefully there is some on the corners of the trailer. I don't know if they are planning on just traveling on a straight road with no turns, but it doesn't seem there is much clearance for that trailer to pivot without whacking the top of the truck.

Somehow I don't think those weaksauce chains holing the tailgate on are going to survive the resistance that pulling a trailer that big is going to create. My guess is that there is another series of pictures somewhere where that truck is about three feet down the road and the trailer is not attached. ...neither is the tailgate.

Holy shnikeys!!!! I don't know if that is a 4x4 blazer or not, but even if it is, I'm not thinkin' there's much traction happening in the front end.

At least the colors on the trailer and the blazer somewhat match...I'll give him credit for that. Now all it needs is a big wing and a NOS sticker.

Hmmm...an "A" for creativity but and "F" for execution.

Stay outta the way if you see that thing comin'!!

Lower the front,24 chrome wheels, add some Mugen stickers to boost bhp...he's good to go :rofl

Now that one is a true example of stupidity. How those front wheels were able to gain enough traction to move that load is beyond me. I'm also surprised the officer let them go considering the brakes on that car would not be able to stop that car in the event that they needed to. And what about the visibility? I've had friends get tickets for having speakers blocking their rear window, so surely this is grounds for a citation. Some people's kids...

edit: Here is the Snopes.com version of the story. Urban Legends Reference Pages: Lumber Car Just look at how the back door guards don't line up with the front door guards. They totaled that car with that load. Surely it would have been less expensive to have it delivered than to wreck their car trying to drive it themeslves. Legally I can't imagine how that waiver would hold up in court either. Anybody would have known that loading 3000 lbs into a car that wasn't rated for it would wreck it. Unless the language of the waiver specifically says that doing this will ruin your car (although I see they put a blanket under the load to protect the paint) then I think a judge would still say that Home Depot would be liable for damage for allowing someone to do that. This story just irks me on so many levels... lol

Wow!!! That is amazing...I wouldn't put that much weight in the back of a full sized pickup.

Hey I used to work at a lumber store (about 10 to 12 years ago) and I can tell you a few stories.

#1 - A guy loaded 30 sheets of 4x8 drywall on his roof with those cardboard triangular roof racks... Need I say more? Dang that was funny!

#2 - Loaded 30 - 24"X30" patio stones @ 100lbs each in a Dodge Shadow (or intrepid not sure). Not sure if he got home...

Was quite funny but dang they weren't the brightest... After I told them about 10 times not to do it.
