how do these products differ?

meguiars FCC sounds more abrasive, does anybody know the facts?,

has anybody used FCC.

all i know is that they both have deminishing abrasives, and i plan on using them with orbital buffer.

thanks any input is appreciated.

later,

I've used Meguiar's for years. #2 Fine-Cut Cleaner is a good product. However it's very runny and if you apply it to the panel (vertical) you want to buff it will not stay in place. On the other had most if not all 3M products stay put (thicker)! This is a big time saver as well as keeping things clean around the area of work. A little goes a long way.

One thing you may want to try as well is 3M Perfect-IT II, this is a product that I can say works well by hand or machine for removing swirls and 1200 grit scratches or less. Using by hand will get you tired, whereas using a rotary buffer will get the job done quick.

By by all means give the SMR a try, very good stuff! You'll like it :)

I was looking for a decent car wash to wash already protected vehicles with.

With that said, I have read as many different reviews but have a quick question.

Do either D111 or D110 leave a film/protection? I was looking for a soap with a lot of suds and a good cleaning abilities that does not leave a lot of film when rinsed off.

Thanks!

a lotta guys here seem to like chemical guys citrus cleaner but i was amazed by blackfire shampoo. don't know if you can buy it separately but for my everyday soap i use eimann fabrik shampoo.

Yeah, many people swear by it and I would love to try some of the CGCW products, but PAC doesn't carry them. I was looking at the shampoo plus as I wanted a higher concentrate wash that did not leave that protectant/wax feel.

Hey Luke, the Blackfire Gloss Shampoo does and also Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax.

I'll make sure I avoid those then, thanks!

For my own car I use a very gentle shampoo. But for every single customers car I prefer to use something stronger or citrus based, I dont want any protection or gloss left behind.

As nice as gentle gloss adding shampoo's are, for customers cars I need something that will aid in stripping off prior LSP and leave a clean finish behind so I can get to polishing.

That was my thinking. I am looking for a shampoo that will not strip the LSP off, but not leave something behind. I do have very gentle shampoos, but the cost effectiveness of the Shampoo Plus was what I was looking for when it comes to other washes.
