Hydro Foam and Hydro 02

Hi Everyone,

If I use Hydro Foam is there a need for Hydro02?

It seems their the same product. I have both, but dont know if I need to use Hydro 02 after I wash with Hydro Foam.

I used hydro foam to wash

then a few weeks later I added hydro2 after a normal wash

I am not sure if there would be any benefit to using both. Hydro2 says not to overlap so I guess that means it doesn't layer? I'm not sure

I bet someone else will chime in soon

I'm not a professional but if it were me I would....

Use hydro2 as my main LSP and then maybe once a month or month and a half I would use hydrofoam as a maintenance wash to help refresh my hydro2.

also a good plan

probably better than what I did-- I just was dying to use HF and my Kwazar foamer

I good stripping wash, some ironX , clay, and then Hydro2 would be a good combo ( and polishing step if needed of course)

feel free to check out this thread - post 26 I believe has my video of use

ever since I have used it three more times (with Xtreme foam)
the main complaint I have is that you can pump it to infinity and it still only sprays for about 15 seconds...I have to keep pumping it walking around the vehicle...it doesn't do the shaving cream foam that looks cool but its pretty sufficient and does what I expected it to do...I don't regret the purchase and it has come in handy on a couple mobile jobs so far

i think corey @ carpro recommended to stack the strongest product first. so hydro2 first then use hydrofoam as maintenance

I've used HydroFoam on three occasions and have used the Kwazar Foamer exclusively. It's true it is good for a panel at a time and then needs to be re-pumped. That said, I'm convinced that this is a very economical way to use this product. Virtually no waste of product.

I think that Ron is the only person I've mentioned this to so I'll just throw it out here now. My daughter bought a new Escape in Novermber. The weather had just turned to full winter and it was cold. The vehicle just needed something on it to give it some protection until we could do a full detail on it. We did go through the thorough clean and decontamination process and followed up with a second wash using HydroFoam. She gave it a couple of wand washes over the next couple of months to get the road salt off of it but nothing more. She does have covered parking at her apartment but it is outside 24/7. It had no real detail done to it. I saw it for the first time a week ago expecting to see nothing left of the LSP. I was amazed at how this product still beaded water. I tried to talk her into a more traditional sealing of the car but she opted to use HydroFoam again. Really couldn't change her mind as she was standing right there looking at it. It does look very nice. I have no idea how long this stuff will go but it's obvious that it will go longer than I thought it might.

What can I say? Makes it easy on Pops.

Use Hydro2 (or lite) first and then use Reset to wash until you see the Hydro2 stop beading then hit it with Hydrofoam to clean it and protect it again. From what I read Hydro2 and Hydrofoam leave behind the same type of protection. Hydro2 lasts around 3 months on a daily driver that sits outside. The stuff is magic.

OReset is good to wash coated cars, just don't expect tons of suds. But it refreshes the coating and leaves no residue behind. With all the pollen out now it just sucks to see your freshly washed car turn yellow in front of your eyes.
