hi all-
i'm looking into options on getting a troll to pay me for a deal gone bad that resides in Fort Mcmurray, Alberta. this is actually the first time i've ever had problems with online transactions in nearly 10 years of buying/selling through forums.
is anyone from Alberta that can help me with what services might be available locally to resolve this? i've contacted the police, but they just say it is a civil matter and won't even contact the person.
the deal is for ~$400 USD. i have emails and PMs from the troll saying they acknowledge a "delay", proof of USPS delivery to their door, etc, but no payment in over two months. if i have to, i will sue through the small claims court, but obviously all or more of the $400 would be gone in court fees (unless the troll can be held responsible for court fees?).
thanks for any input/assistance!
