How Wet is To Wet??

Just One More Coat
Talking on another forum, someone was asking about cleaning his leather that had some residue left over from removing the tint...I said to start with Woolite and water mixture at 1/10 parts water...and if that didn't work then an APC mixed the same way, but spray on the rag then wipe the areas.

Some one said leave the Woolite to washing clothes it gets the leather to wet which is not good for it and also a soap residue that would attract more dirt.

I've been of the belief that this Woolite mixture is pretty mild and diluted, so I have not been concerned with residue or getting the leather to wet..Since leather today is top coated it can take some water....heck for that much in areas where it rains a lot and snows you can get that much water on the leather

Anyone have thoughts on this?

I think its all in proportion, I can soak a leather seat with some leather conditioner and say its wet...

Thanks I knew he was a bit off....The site has a new detail supplier / sponsor and he was suggestion that he buy some leather cleaner from the sponsor...I got that part about supporting the new guy...However this guy needs solution today! the stains might be setting up and that's why I suggested the woolite...someone else said Lexol which was a good one as well...that's what he is doing right now since he could get some at lunch and give it a go

Lexol is good, I am not sure of how close he is to an autoparts store, but soem autozones and napas carry zymol, leather cleaner and I love that stuff, cleans great...but in a pinch woolite works..
