How warm must it be for applying polish/wax

I know this is a very general question, as certain products will differ from another.

Is there a certain temperature where wax and polish will not work as stated. There was an old thread where I remembered someone had referenced that in order for P21S/S100 to work properly, the temperature must be 60 F and above for the wax to bond properly to the paint.

This is a very good question. And I'm not really sure of the answer.

Even though you can work with most polishes and waxes in cold weather, you still have to wonder about how the product is actually bonding to the paint.

I have no problem using most products at temperatures down to just above freezing.

It was 37 degrees when I polished this BMW 745Li using Meguiars DACP & Swirl Free Polish and Clearkote's Vanilla Moose and waxed with Carnauba Moose Wax. No problems at all, I could even still use CMW one fender at a time and wipe off.

All I know is that I tried using QD today when it was 7 degrees and it froze on contact with my car!!!
