How to wash a 2000 Suburban

Have a 2000 Suburban, black and very dirty. Had it detailed a year ago. Polishing and wax, cost me $180.00. They did the interior too. Anyway, how do I get started with this big unit? With the cold weather coming I figure the best I can do is keep it washed until next spring. I am new to the forum. I have one of those cheap orbital buffer machines for now. I always thought that some type of pole and brush would make washing this car much easier than a mitt, but I don't want to scratch the paint. Anyway, how should I get started?

welcome to the forums! I have never done a truck that big but there are lots of people here who can give you great advice!

Sounds like you'll want a Meguiar's Gold Class Versa-Angle Ultra Plush Wash Mop, even though it's pretty expensive. It's sorta like a mitt attached to a pole. You also will want another mitt for the easier-to-reach areas, though, because you will have added control and will find it faster.
Also go ahead and get the replacement Headcover, just in case. Never know when it may lay on the ground or get to dirty to rinse off.
I have a 2000 CK2500 with a topper....thats 20 feet from front to back so I know what its like. Sometimes I wish I had a air power spray gun for QD.

Got this at HD for under $40 with tax

SKU 373-054
Model WP-20-06

Says it will hold 225#s, but it held my 240lb phat ashe with no problems.

The legs fold for easy storage.

what do you guys use for car ramps for a big car like the Suburban? My father in law commented to me that mine don't look heavy duty enough for the burb.
