How to remove etched water spots from headlight clear lens

My clear headlight lens is in medium condition at best. It has some pitting(minimal), a few minor scraches and espescially etches water spots that are only visable in direct sunlight. How would I go about cleaning all this up? Is this a good candidate for restoration work? I've seen people use sandpaper and restore it from there. What products will I need to restore and/or clean it up?

I'm inexperienced in this compared to a number of folks, but I've had great luck using chrome polish. Takes care of a lot of yellowing damage as well as etched water spots. Good luck!

get one of several glass polishes. if youre unfamiliar with how to properly do so there was a thread a few weeks back on someone polishing thier headlamps with pics and in depth explanation, do a search youll find what approach you want to take. good luck!
