How do I post a URL from another page and post it as a link?
On another forum I was on the person asked for the URL. I type it in my response but it doesn't link. How do I do this? Thanks.

Try going to the website first. Then copy the URL from the IE address box then come here start a post and Paste it into the thread.
Also if you look up at the top of the post box you will see a world with a paperclip if you click that a box will appear that you can then paste the URL in and hit ok it it wll then go into your post and whalla there it is.

Check this page for more information about posting on message boards like this one. Not all forums are the same. If the admin has disabled VB code in the forum then you wouldn't be able to do it. My suggestion would be to go back to that forum and ask them how to post links there. Here VB code is active, so there isn't a problem with cut and paste.

I don't know how to cut and paste :whistling I am slowly becoming less retarded with computers but I haven't figured out the cut and paste thing yet.

Right click and choose COPY. That will save the address.

When you want to paste it just right click again and choose PASTE.

Or just highlight the URL in the address bar and press CTRL C to copy and CTRL V to paste

That works HaHa learn something every day. Thanks. Now this question might sound stupid but when I copied that URL where did it get saved to? Could I copy several things and then select what I want to paste and where or do I have to do it one thing at a time?

See I selected paste again and the URL is still there. How do you get it out of the paste selection on right click? Does it stay there until I copy something else?

 I also was wondering how you guys connect the links :bigups:
