DC, I linked the video into this thread. What is amazing to consider is that (from my understanding) we are using the friction of Earth (and the atmosphere) to generate enough velocity to break the atmosphere and travel to Mars. It also during this time when we can aim the spacecraft towards Mars which is remarkable considering...

That the Earth and Mars are orbiting around the sun at different rates, and that even the Sun is orbiting around our universe. Everything is in some form of movement, so to be able to calculate were in space everything will be while calculating exactly how long it will take to reach this moving target, so that it lands at a point in space-time when Mars will happen to be there is quite amazing. In many ways it is absolutely mind boggling.

Yeah its pretty mind blowing what mankind is capable of now!! Someday we may even live on the Moon or Mars!Wouldnt that be wild!:wow:
