How to clean carpeting?

I need my entire carpeting cleaned. But how do i do it by myself? The only cleaner for carpeting I have laying around is called "Blue Magic", anyone heard of this? Do I just spray it on, and scrub? Or do I use dish soap and water? Do I need a special vacuum to remove it? The nearest detail shop wants like $70 to do this.:nixweiss Any tips on how to do by myself would be great:xyxthumbs

you could try a room doctor (those carpet cleaners at the grocery store). I'm not sure how well they get the water back out though.



Why not call a steam cleaner that does houses. It's the same concept to do a car and i'm sure why can't charge much since $70 will cover about 2 rooms in a typical house.
