How often to use Iron X?

I don't think overdoing it will hurt anything but your wallet. Unless you live/work next to a railroad. Use it about as often as clay (1-2 times per year). It does knock down your LSP by about 50%.

If you are talking about wheels and they dust really badly, maybe slightly more often.

Just like claying, you can use Iron-X whenever the paint becomes contaminated. Iron-X is designed to remove contaminates that are not only bonded onto of the paint but have penetrated below the paint. If you wash your car frequently and keep a good coat of wax and/or sealant on it you will dramatically reduce the need for decontaminating the paint. Its impossible to say how frequently it should be used because so many factors come into play as far as how much contamination your paint is exposed to.

Thanks - I should have said for my wheels.....not worried about my paint...I'll shoot for a couple times a year...
 
Glen, I have used Iron X and it is great.... I don't think you can over do it, but I do think for the price it is a little expensive to use on a regular basis for wheels. After my initial clean up I have been using regular soap and water on my CQ'd wheels. If they need that extra little bit I reach for some Sonax wheel cleaner. I personally think Iron X is better but I see it and use it for a different purpose.
 
one more question guys - will a rinse off of Iron X in the grass kill it?

I am worried about the runoff in a brand new marble driveway, and would apply and rinse the iron x in the adjacent grass...

It's kinda weird because they have been doing a lot of concrete counter tops on the hg network
 
It's not that uncommon or expensive and certainly is not the "polished" marble you think of in bathrooms - I think it's called distressed marble here....

but back to topic - what about killing the grass with IX wash-off?
