How often to apply aquawax

I find myself using it after every wash. I am sure that is toooooo much. How often do other users of AW apply it?

Just bought some today. It reminds me alot of a product sold in the 80's called Simoniz Silcone Glaze Spray. Came in a blue bottle, sold at Woolworth's and Roses dept stores.

Same smell, same look, application, etc....

Is Aqua wax a silcone based spray? If that is the case, after every wash then......

Simonize Poly Glaze as it was called was the first spray product that I used. It was great back then. I worked for a limo. company , and that was what we used to keep the cars nice.

I used to apply after every wash, but am currently doing durability testing, so I'm not adding any more to the finish. So far, after 1 month and a trip to Orlando and back, it is holding up really well.

Anyhow, you can apply as often as you like really. There are no cleaners or abrasives, and it will only add more gloss and protection....it's so easy, there's no reason not to...:D

On "my" car I added 4 coats in a short period of time. Like within a week. I seem to loose some of my depth of my Pin. Sourveran. But with a very high gloss. Just my observation.

I am also doing a durability test....I applied AW in last week of April or first week of may...on my truck..I have only applied 1 coat on the truck except for hood...I did the whole Duragloss system on 6/05/06 on the hood...the rest of the truck has just ONE coat of AW..it has been close to 8 weeks now..and 30 days of rain in that time frame....in Massachusetts...

So far the truck is beading close to the same as when applied..beads a little bigger now..gloss has lessened a bit..but still looks great....the truck still blow dries itself in the rain while driving

the hood looks like the day I did it...not quite as slick but slick...Gloss is the same..wet looking....

The AW has proven to me to be very durable....better than any spray wax or sealant I have used....

The hood is to early to judge yet...but it looks like the day I did it....

I got a e-mail today saying the 105 has been sent to me..so when it comes and rain has stopped..I will do whole truck in the 105 to test it....It is still raining today...we got 4 inches in the last 3 days here...and a total of 15 inches since May 1st..we are have monsoons here in western Mass.

so again..Duragloss has my vote for durability

Al

Got my 105 today and another bottle of AW. I'm still waiting on the Duragloss scratch remover. It was back ordered at my local Nappa dealer. I have found the same to be true as Al has stated above. Can't wait to try the cleaner/scratch remover then the 105 and then the AW over that. Gonna take most of the day and give my "Honey " a good cleaning inside and out and treat her body to all these goodies, Lol.

Rain is continuing here too Al. Nothing like you all got but we did need this rain in our area. Just a steady rain , great for the garden and flowers and my well. Mike

Mike...why don't you order from Duragloss...you will probally get it next day to your door...for 4.95 shipping it is not bad....them being in North Carolina it should be quick...I get it up in Mass. in 3 days...plus they have sweet sounding ladies that answer...lol....

as a weekly booster can't be beat. I doubt I'll be going back to the paste wax very often.

But the FK 425 over the Aqua Wax is a must for me. Keeps it "optimal" , you know higher up on the 1 to 10 scale of just applied shine, for a longer period since the 425 will lock in whatever product you use.

My car has been sitting outside for two weeks now since the last AW application and I'm still getting compliments. SLickness is the key. If dust and dirt doesn't stick, it won't breakd down the Aqua Wax instant pop. I have pics!! coming..

I'm using Aquawax every few weeks, and their fast clean and shine as my quick detailer. awesome combo. I see myself slowly turning more and more to their products.
