How much to charge for Expedition interior?

Hello all,

I joined this site a little over a year ago and made a few threads about my dads filthy 95 Ford Taurus. I went to college and had no time to practice detailing, but decided to give my dads car a try when I came back. I just detailed my dads car as a Fathers day present and it looks pretty good (didnt take pics, no camera at the time.) As it turns out, a guy from my dads work really liked the job I did on my dads car and wants me to clean the interior of his Expedition. This is the first time I will be cleaning another persons car other than a family member so I have no idea how much to charge. I just bought a LGCM, Folex, and APC, and I already have other various interior cleaning products. I want to start detailing cars to make some good money aside from my job, so I want to make sure I can profit and make sure I have enough money to get products in the future if I need them. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have already learned a lot from this site and plan on using it in the future when I start detailing a lot more. Thanks!

Edit: Based on the condition, I was going to ask $100, is this too much/too little?

If you are confident you can bring back the interior to good condition, $100 seems fine. If I was doing the interior, I would expect maybe 2-2.5 hours, so $100 doesn't seem crazy for that.

I really appreciate the input guys...

kleraudio: Yes this is just for interior work.

Gregcavi: I am confident that I can bring the interior back to good condition. From what I have heard the interior of this Expedition hasn't been cleaned well in a while.

awahl63: It isn't my 2nd time cleaning an interior, I have cleaned plenty of interiors and received a lot of compliments. I do see what you are saying though. From the Expedition owners perspective, $100 does seem a little much for a novice to charge, but it will be a very good job that I plan on spending a good amount of time on.

$100 seems fine for 2-3 hours of work. Just do a good job and get some referrals out of it too.

Dont forget the pics!

I know this is bringing this thread back from the dead but I think an update is needed. The man never called me because he ran into health issues that ultimately turned into money issues so it looks like I might not be doing this detail for a while. I was a little upset at first since he never called me but now I know his situation and understand completely. Health definitely comes before anything else. If this detail ever gets done, I will post the pics in Click n Brag.
