How long would you wait till you dispute order

This is not a calgarydetail saga....

It's been 5 business days with 3 emails since Sunday and not a reply back ONCE from the vendor. Stuff happens and if it did, I would assume the vendor would have some sort of auto-response on.

Not the type of fella to dispute a charge until it get's down to it.....but it feels like it may have to be disputed.

Just thinking outloud....what are your limits of non-communication before you take it up the higher chain.

I would wait to see if you get the merchandise. Sometimes emails are automatically put into a junk mail folder and never seen. So give it another few days, and see if the stuff arrives. If it does not, then maybe contact them via phone if you can.

I would call the vendor and say, "I haven't seen any emails from you (replies) regarding my shipment, but thought you may be having email issues. I just wanted to make sure my order got processed okay, and wanted to check on the ship status."

Depending on what they tell you, it should then become clear to you as to what you want to do next.

I wouldn't hesitate to contact someone by phone now. Five business days is more than enough time to get an order moving.

See, being in business, this stuff blows my mind...

Have a problem with a company? Pick up the phone and call them. Being a distributor, I'm on both sides as every order I do involves a supplier and my client, and things go wrong on each end. I would much rather get a call from a client (and expect my suppliers to call me) when something is amiss than try to handle it over e-mail. They can get lost, blocked, entered wrong...and you never know.

One of my cardinal rules of ordering on line is that if the company doesn't have a phone number posted, I don't order.

It has not been on my radar....I just need to setup my phone to ring off during the vendors business hours. The order was a intl order....and right now, it's not business hours...

I waited a month then called the CC compnay. I wanted tomake sure I was in the right. Howeverthat was goin across the border.

I would say double the regular shipping time, so say order take a week, wait 2. This way you know it just wasnt slow.

just my opion ofcourse

In your case, I think 2 weeks would have been max for me. I've sent/received stuff to Canada and sometimes, stuff arrives the NEXT day from canada, even though it was not shipped next day air.

In my case....well, I waited almost 4 weeks and I just started *inquiring* the beginning of this week. We'll see how this fans out....

so its comming from canada? or going to canada? its its comming from canada then im not sure. If its going to canada (importing to canada) you are going to have to wait a little longer. Customs is backed righed up with the strong dollar. Heck I have odered 5 or 6 orders to take advantage of it.
