How long will Zaino last?

I put several coats of Z5 with Zfx on my car about a week ago, but I still have a lot of the stuff still left over, and I don't have the heart to throw it out. Can the Z5 w/ Zfx sit in my fridge for a couple weeks, and still be good? Or should I just chuck it?
 
Z2/5 mixed with ZFX must be used within 6 hours and a max of 12hrs. Only mix what you will use. Most vehicles require less than 0.75oz for 2 coats. It is alway better to mix too little than to mix too much.

That stuff you have left from last weekend... throw out including the container. :wavey
 
Oh well, yeah I'll definately mix less next time. Why throw out the container? I've cleaned out a container (not the ones provided, but rather baby food jars) where the Z5+Zfx sat in it for over a month. I forgot to dump it out :o
 
It maybe okay since it is glass but Sal's ZFX instructions state that if mixture remains in his plastic bottles to discard. Why? :nixweiss



Speculation: hardened microscopic polymer debris my mix in with next usage and marr finish. :(

Interesting thought. I've always wondered the same thing.:confused:
 
I haven't been able to fully clean out one of those plastic containers that comes with Zaino. So I've been using syringes to mix small amounts of Z and ZFX. Then I just throw them out.

I've also noticed that if the Z/ZFX mix is left in the bottle, it kinda "chunks" up.

I have cleaned the little bottles numerous times. Soon as I am done applying I wash the bottle with Dawn a couple of times and dry out with a paper towel then sit inverted on a paper towel over nite.
 
Not sure how long ago you puchased either of the polishes but the newer Z5 and Z2 formulations rinse right of the supplied bottles now.



I used to use the syringe method myself but it is no longer necessary. Since using the newer formulations everything completely rinses out with just plain water.
 
I have the "old" Zaino. My last two times I tried to clean the bottles, I still had a slight film on the inside. I washed with dawn and water as soon as I finished and still had no luck. For now, I'm just sticking to the syringe.
 
Just to agree with Ric, I purchased Z2, Z5 and ZFX last November and I just use hot water to rinse out the mixing bottles...I do it immediately after finishing and that works fine.
