How Long in Between Coats

So I use Zaino on my car.

And I probably wash the car waay too much and polish it waay too much hehe.

Part of it is I think I just enjoy it.

But realistically how long should I wait before polishing again?

I seem to wash at least every two weeks... and everytime I wash I polish, just because I feel like it's a waste to do all that work and NOT polish :)

But I read the other thread about when was enough enough... so I wondered how often I should really be polishing.

Thanks for any help :)

What polish? ZPC? You shouldn't have to polish that often, if it's needed (marring, swirls, etc) ...you need to reevaluate your wash routine.

Ahh...you meant between putting coats of Zaino on?

If that's the case, I'm sure you can do that as often as you like. However, I'm not an avid Zaino user, so I'll let some of the others chime in.

Yeah... like I said I generally do it everytime I wash just because I figure... why not, I'm doing a detail anyway.

But I was curious as to if it was a case of diminishing returns. That's why I wondered if I should do it once a month... or once every two weeks or what.

So anyone that has ideas I'm all ears.

If your trying to say you polish with Z2Pro, then you really arent polishing at all. Z2 and Z5 have no abrasives in them, ZPC is the only polish Zaino makes that actually has the abrasives to rid your finish of marring/swirls.

If you like to polish alot, use something like Prime/Prime Strong like every 2 months or something. Even though Prime is just a chemical cleaner, cleaning your paint up nicely makes a big difference. With prime strong I have been able to get rid of minor marring..but I only used a finishing pad so you may get more polishing ability with a polishing pad if needed.

If you are just using Z2Pro and Z5Pro - I would suggest washing, Spray Z6 if you have it, put a coat of Z5 or Z2 on. Then the next week when you wash after you dry just spray the finish with Z8.

Ok I'm starting to think I've asked this question incorrectly.

I will try to do it again.

1. I use Z2Pro on the car (weather it's a polish or sealant... whatever)

2. I wash the car about every two weeks.

3. When I wash the car I always use the Z2pro and apply at least two layers with Z8 to finish and Z6 in between layers.

4. NOW this is the really important part because this is my question... How often should I actually use the Z2Pro on the car???

Should I do it every two weeks?

Should I do it every month?

Should I do it every three months?

Should I do it every six months?

Should I do it every year?

Are there any other options I have left out?

As far as an education on my washing ability... or the exact definition of the product I use... Or other products I might want to use...I appreciate the comments... but that STILL doesn't answer my question.

So anyone who would like to PLEASE... pretty please with sugar on top... answer my question... I would REALLY appreciate it.

I did my personal car 3 weeks ago. Prepped meticulously and applied 3X Z-5Pro and 1X Z-2Pro and I stopped. Just washes with Z-7 and Z-6 qd's since then. I do have Z-8 unused sitting on the shelf. I am looking strictly for durability but I don't see the need after almost 1 month to add Z5 or Z2 or Z8.

To answer your question, I would apply Z-8 every 2 weeks after your bi-monthly wash. Then after 2 months see what you have. Check beading, slickness, drying capablility and shine. If you see deterioration in the above 4 categories, then apply Z-2Pro.

That's what I would do. So far I am very impressed with this Zaino paint treatment system.

To keep adding polish after polish is overkill. Zaino doesn't need it.

Thanks this is exactly what I was wondering :)

I thought I may be wasting it... by doing it every time.
