Hey guys,

I just washed, clay bar'd, Klass AIO, 2 coats of Klasse SG, washed again, Sonus Glanz'd and 1 coat of PS21'd over a 3 day period. How long should I wait to throw down another PS21?

Thanks!

I always like to wait 6-8 hours between coats. No proof why, but I think the end results looks much better after each layer has time to set up.

P21S carnauba doesn't have any cleaning abilities just like any other paste wax. P21S Paintwork Cleansing Lotion would do the trick if you are trying to clean your paint. S100 has a similar product called SEPC if you are looking for something like that. SEPC can be found at Harley Davidson shops just like S100 can.

I dont think he wants to strip anything at all. To answer your question, I would say I like to wait 8 hours. Some say you dont need to. But why take the chance if you have the time.

I think you should be ok to put it on whenever you want. Personally, I'll usually wait atleast a day, and normally I wait until the next wash before I top a wax.

pretty much agree with the rest of the guys, at least 8 hrs. i heard a while ago of a guy who, after a wax, he would go over the car with cold water to harden the wax, sounds feasible never tried though. anybody got any thoughts on that?:werd:

Wax doesn't really "harden" so much as it "cures". The solvents that keep the wax in paste or liquid form need to evaporate out in order for the wax to go back to a wax-y state. Making the wax cold will make it harder if it's in it's wax state, but it will also slow down the evaporation rate of the solvents.
